[Tess is at Llanfair with Clint, Viki and Antonio]
Clint: We're going to help you.
Tess: Help me what, disappear? Because let's face it, this isn't exactly a meeting of the Tess Fan Club.


Clint: Whoever you are, you're still my daughter, and you're not leaving this house.
Tess: I wouldn't dream of it. Actually, I'm going to sit down right here and wait for Nash to come back.


Clint: Nash, Tess is my daughter just as much as Jessica is. I'm going to see that nothing happens to her.


Tess: (to Viki and Clint) Oh, hi. You wouldn't be having a Jessica pow-wow in there without inviting the guest of honor?


[Viki and Clint want to know how the amnio went]
Tess: Fine.
Clint: Just "fine"?
Tess: Well, you try getting a needle in your stomach and see how you like it.


Tess: (about the doctor) He said everything went fine and we're going to find out the results in a couple weeks.
Clint: All right, well, at least it's over.
Tess: Nothing's over. We're still playing "who's the daddy?" here, and then once we find out, yeah, that's when the fun's really going to start.


Clint: I called Dr. Jamison to help you, believe me.
Tess: Believe you? I don't believe a word you or anyone else in this house says. You want me dead. You want me and Nash dead.


Tess: (about the Buchanans) All they want is Jessica back, and they want rid of me. And if I do give birth to this baby, they'll just come in and swoop and take it away from us!
Clint: That would never happen, I promise you!


Nash: When you just called her your "little girl" just now, did you mean Tess?
Clint: She's my daughter, just as much as Jessie.


Clint: Right now, Niki could be finding out what you're so desperate to keep secret, and you could lose everything. That's why you should trust in me. I care more about you than Niki Smith ever could.
Tess: Really? Well, at least Niki isn't trying to annihilate me like you and the rest of the family.


Clint: I don't know what Niki told you, but she's only out for herself. She doesn't care who she hurts, so long as she's out and Viki's trapped inside her.
Tess: I can relate.
Clint: No, I don't think so, because you're not like Niki. I mean, yeah, you want your freedom, but you want it because you want to be with the man you love. And that means you got a good heart. That means it could be possible that you could survive, no matter what happens. Tess, I've done everything I could to try and support you. I made it possible for you to see Nash, didn't I? I did that because I believe you're a person in your own right. I believe that you're an important part of my little girl.


Tess: Why are you being so nice to me when you know that I want Jessica and Viki to rot in hell for what they've done? I --
Clint: Listen, I know you don't think of me as your father, but you’ll always be my little girl. So when you're upset, how can I help but not hold you?


[Tess has been crying in Clint's arms]
Clint: It's all right. You just let it out.
Tess: Oh. No. No, damn it. I'm not just going to stand here and cry all over your coat.
Clint: It's all right to cry.
Tess: No, it's not all right. It's not all right for me to cry, and this is all because of Nash. I never want to see his face again.
Clint: I don't think you mean that.
Tess: Really? Look at me. I'm a mess. I'm miserable and it's all because of him and it wasn't supposed to happen to me.
Clint: Why not? Is it your job not to get your heart broken?


Clint: All I'm saying is that Jessica has a little more experience in affairs of the heart.
Tess: Jessica is an affair of the heart.


Tess: Yeah, you're good. You're working me.
Clint: No, I'm not doing that.
Tess: No, of course not. Because I'm your little baby girl, right, and you love me. And you think that just maybe I'll pour my little heart out to you and tell you all my dirty little secrets, and then maybe we can sit around and cry about it and you'll know exactly why I'm here.
Clint: I'm not doing that and that is not what I meant.
Tess: I know what you meant, okay? You want Jessica back. Viki wants Jessica back, Natalie wants Jessica back, Antonio wants Jessica back. Hey, let's take a poll. Everybody that wants Jessica back, raise their hands. What's the matter? Why isn't your hand raised?


Clint: I think your argument with Nash has got you a little agitated.
Tess: Agitated? No, I'm pissed as hell.


Clint: (to Tess) I want you to know something -- I'm always here for you, always.


Viki: Tess is going to feel ambushed.
Clint: She spends her life feeling ambushed.


Dorian: Apparently, I underestimated Tess. If I had known how devious she was, I would have locked her up in a room somewhere.
Clint: Oh, no. You wouldn't have done that without great bodily harm, I assure you of that.


Clint: Tess, we want to help you, want to help you and Jessica. For the sake of your health and that of the baby, we all agree that we need to begin the process.
Tess: Of getting your princess back -- yeah -- or your best girl, right? Look, guys, I'm not going to split. I understand now that you can't erase the past, nor can you run from it or from you guys, for that matter. So you do what you have to do, but don't think for one second that I am kicking off my farewell tour.


Clint: Well, first of all, we put you under hypnosis, and then we try to coax Jessie back.
Tess: Then what?
Clint: And then slowly and gently, we reveal what happened to her as a little girl since we know what's -- we've seen what's on that tape.
Tess: Wow. Wow, great -- what a homecoming.


Clint: (about Viki) I talked her into staying home.
Tess: Oh, wow. It's so nice how you protect your womenfolk.


Tess: You know, do you want to know what Señor Control Freak did? He got a court order keeping me from taking my baby home.
Clint: Antonio, what did you think that would accomplish?
Tess: That's what I want to know.
Clint: Tess, I don't need your input, okay?
Tess: Well, I didn't ask you.
Clint: You're angry, you're lashing out -- not your best qualities, so just zip it.


[After the baby is born, Clint talks to Tess and Nash]
Clint: You two should get your rest because when you bring the baby home, it's going to be very, very different.
Tess: Different, how?
Clint: Different crazy, different wonderful. You'll find out.
