Finding Forbes (Soaps In Depth 1/3/06)

It wasn't easy casting the guy who would turn Jessica's life upside down. As Bree Williamson (Jessica/Tess) explains, there were a lot of guys eager to jump into the meaty role. "Every week we were like, 'Another screen test for Nash?'" the actress recalls. "They searched high and low for the character -- it was unbelievable." And then one day, everything changed. An actor auditioned who Williamson says made everyone sit up and take notice. "Forbes [March] just came in, and it was so obvious," his now-leading lady says. "He did everything that they had been looking for." The powers that be, she explains, were interested in finding not just someone who could act the part, but who would truly inhabit it. "Forbes did it without any effort. They were looking for someone who just really was Nash." Fortunately for viewers, they found him!
